Wild Turkey Farms News- August 24
I love this time of year when the weather is cooling down a bit. With the farm tour and farm dinner just around the corner we've been busy getting everything ready. The garden is in and the greenhouse is once again full of green growing plants (and not just the crabgrass). The pastures have had their summer trim with the bushhog. All of the baby calves have arrived and are constantly running and playing. Baby pigs are around every corner as you ride through the pasture and the turkeys and chickens are all out on grass and chasing bugs all day.
We're restocked on pork and lamb this week!!!
Attention Lamb Lovers (i mean that in a culinary sense) - We've got some amazing looking shoulder & loin chops in stock but quantities are limited so you better hurry!!!

tip- make your stock and freeze it in an ice tray for handy cubes to add to recipes.

Saturday September 15 (1-5pm)- Annual Know Your Farms Piedmont Farm Tour and Wild Turkey Farms Open House- Come out to the farm, bring the kids, and check out all of the animals. Come hungry - we'll have food available!
You can either just come see us or you can buy a KYF weekend car pass and take in the whole 2 day tour.
Sunday October 7 - WTF 2nd Annual Farm Dinner on the Back Forty- Join us for an evening of local drinks, local music, and great local food
