Sunday is mother's day and I'll wager many of you will want to stop by Lee's booth early (she basically sold out of flowers last week). She's got peonies, irises, sweet williams and bachelor buttons. Farm-to-table fundraiser Sunday:
"Riot in the Pasture" is a great opportunity to meet your farmer outside the farmers' market. We'll have music and activities from 3-7 at Morgan Ridge Vineyards, with dinner at 5:30.
Here's the menu:
- Whole hog barbecue from Two Pigs Farm and Wild Turkey
Farms. (Vote for your favorite pitmaster/farm!) Buns with NC flour from
the Bread Basket.
- Salty Caper Pizza with NC flour, Eagle farm tomatoes,
and Correll farm basil pesto.
- Miller Produce mixed greens salad with
blackberry/chambourcin wine vinaigrette
- Correll Farms collard green slaw
- Lee's Bok Choi sautée with sweet potatoes and red wine

the Farmers' Market and Bread Riot, our partner nonprofit. Lawn chairs
