WTF News- May 4

Wild Turkey Farms News- May 4

We're here and still plugging along.  It's been a difficult week.  I guess being overrun by the constant endlessness of the to-do list was kind of wearing on me.  The miles spent riding in the truck, and consequently the diesel bill, seem to be increasing with each passing week as market season gets into full swing.  To the butcher with pigs, to the butcher to pick up pigs, to the butcher with chickens, head to Charlotte to make deliveries.  If I keep this up the state of NC is going to have to approve off shore oil drilling just to support us!!! Just kidding, let's hope it doesn't get that bad. However, I have come to the conclusion that I'm getting too old to handle 16-17 hour days on a regular basis.  That can make it hard to keep things in perspective and make me a real pain in the ham to be around.  But then I somehow come to my senses and realize that the view from my office ain't too bad, the employees work hard and hopefully stay in their designated fences, and I don't have anyone but myself complaining to me about the job I do so all is good.   Hopefully I'll remember all this when I'm finishing up my 17 hours Friday night and setting my alarm clock for 5am Saturday morning.

FARMER'S MARKET SEASON IS HERE!!!!
