We hope that you all have
had an excellent summer so far. We have missed seeing many of you at the
markets on Saturdays, and we've enjoyed visiting with other of you that
we have seen while actually shopping at the markets. It's definitely
different seeing the market from the other side of the table after so many
years. We have continued to expand our pork production this summer and
have added several new restaurants to our list of clients. We have also
worked really hard at keeping our promise to spend more time with our boys and
have more adventures with them. So far we have spent several weekends
swimming, hiking, fishing, mining gems, scuba diving, kayaking, and
traveling to see family and friends. It's been a great summer!
We have always taken time
to evaluate our business plan and make changes as needed. This summer has
also given us the opportunity to reevaluate that plan and once again make
adjustments. By now many of you that have called or come to the farm know
that we are no longer producing chicken or beef due to the increased costs in
the past year. We
have also made the decision to not raise any turkeys for thanksgiving this
year. Hopefully this will be early enough to give all of you a chance to
line up something with other farms. After checking
around, it appears that there are still a few farms will be raising turkeys
this year, though they may be in a limited quantity so you may want to contact
them sooner rather than later.
We hope that you all have a
great summer and maybe we'll see you wandering around the markets
Thanks
for your support, have a great weekend!
