If you have ever been to WTF you have probably met our guard dog Annie. Annie is an Akbash which is a Turkish breed Guardian dog.
Annie serves many purposes at the farm. During lambing season she is normally with the sheep helping to protect the baby lambs.
At other times she is in the pasture with the chickens (& Thanksgiving turkeys) protecting & warning them of hawks that may be flying overhead.
She knows who belongs in the pasture & who doesn't belong in the pasture. We feel fortunate that in the 6 years that Annie has been at the farm we have not had a lot of incident so we are assuming that she is doing her job!
